Peppur Chambers (Writer, Actor, Producer)
A brilliant, satirical writer; a budding director, dynamic actor and tenacious producer, Peppur Chambers continually proves she has the chops to write, direct and produce her savvy creativity into something gorgeous. By incorporating a marketing approach to her content, she’s developed into an entrepreneurial brand builder aka “The Hot One”. Her skillfulness began with The Brown Betties®. In 2005, she wrote, produced and performed in her 1940s styled dinner-theater show, “Harlem’s Night: A Cabaret Story” performed by the Brown Betties. Her debut novella, “Harlem’s Awakening”, a sultry fiction drama about the beginnings of the Betties is available locally at The Globe Bookstore, select Neo Luxor locations and Knihkupectví Academia and online at Amazon.com and 1888.Center. This novella was transformed into a one-woman show developed and directed by her friend, collaborator and producer, Nicole J. Adelman. Having debuted at Prague Fringe 2014, the dynamuc duo paired with the hugely creative and talented team at Studio Savec to present six sold-out shows nestled into a month long of 1940s event programming curated by Belinda Filippelli. In 2015, Peppur and Nicole created their theater production, CATNIP (Contemporary American Theatre Now In Prague). Peppur believes strongly in the collaborative power of women and is the creator of “When Collaboration Is Your Little Black Dress” which has been presented at The Pan African Film Festival (LA) and in Prague via Studio Savec and Prague Film & Theater Center.
